Software Factory Concept
The design thesis of a software engineering factory: structured engineering pipelines that turn approved design artifacts into validated software for supported targets. This is a direction, not a claim that arbitrary applications are produced automatically.
Engineering, Not Coding
Software engineering is a deliberate discipline — not just writing code. The Factory direction treats software production as an engineering process with models, validation, traceability, and governance. Coverage varies by stage.
Metadata, where modeled
Business requirements, architecture decisions, domain models, API contracts, and configuration can be represented as structured, versioned metadata where modeled. Complete metadata coverage across every artifact is not claimed.
AI-Assisted Pipeline
AI assistance can augment selected lifecycle stages — not by replacing engineering judgment, but by supporting analysis, surfacing constraints, and proposing artifacts for human review. Provider execution and coverage are currently limited.
Traceability, by design
The goal is for generated artifacts to trace back to their originating requirement, architecture decision, and design model. End-to-end lineage is not yet demonstrated for every target.
Extension direction
Plugins, generators, runtime profiles, and industry packs are the intended extension surfaces. Universal support for any stack, domain, or deployment target is not claimed.
